The Starrett 156M Screw Pitch Gauge is one of the most useful measurement tools in any mechanic’s toolbox. It’s used to quickly determine the pitch of various sized screw threads. It helps you work with complete accuracy and prevent damage to your workpieces that can be caused by using screws that are too large. It features 28 leaves that fold out of a steel case. Each leaf is clearly marked for matching up and measuring thread pitches. There’s a positive stop locking device at both ends, which secures the leaves in position when taking measurements. This model is specially designed with narrow leaves that allow you to check both the internal and external threads of nuts and bolts, and offers a metric measuring range of 0.25 – 2.50mm TPI.
